Our next event is at Sunol on the Cypress course for a 2 person team event playing a medley of alternate shot, best ball and scramble. This will be interesting. So far only 13 players have signed up. I hope the format hasn't scared anyone away. Then on September 18th we're off to Monterey to play Laguna Seca. Again only 13 players signed up for medal play at this track. Then the dreaded yellow ball at the west course of Blue Rock Springs. 13 players have signed up for this one.
Joe Varvaro should be back for Laguna Seca after his hip replacement. We hear he is terrorizing the nurses at his assisted care facility and they're anxious to get him back at him feeding his chickens.
Tom Kruk and Tom Foley were the last team to qualify for the NCGA Senior Four-Ball Championship at the Rancho Solano site with a team score of 10 under. The championship will be at Poppy Ridge on September 7th and 8th.
Hope to see you out there
Tom
